A new workshop LightSec (Workshop on Lightweight Security and Privacy) has been organized with the support of the ICE project. The event has been held on March 14-15, 2011 in İstanbul. The scope of the workshop included the topics:

• Design, analysis and implementation of lightweight cryptographic protocols & applications

• Cryptographic hardware development for constrained domains

• Design, analysis and implementation of security & privacy solutions for wireless embedded systems

• Design, analysis and implementation of lightweight  privacy-preserving protocols & systems

• Design and analysis of fast and compact cryptographic algorithms

• Wireless network security for low-resource devices

• Low-power crypto architectures

• Fast and compact  biometric-based algorithms for authentication and identification

• Scalable protocols and architectures for security and privacy

• Formal methods for analysis of lightweight cryptographic protocols

III. Symposium on RFID Applications had been held on June 10, 2010 at İTÜ Suleyman Demirel Kultur Merkezi (SDKM), İstanbul. The information day had been organized by İTÜ RFID Research and Test Center with the contribution of the ICE Project.

RFIDSec10, Workshop on RFID Security 2010 had taken place in İstanbul on June 7-9, 2010. The workshop had been organized by TÜBİTAK-UEKAE. For more information about the conferenece, you can visit: RFIDSec10.

Dr. Ir. Berry Schoenmakers has given a lecture on "E-Voting and Provable Security" on May 18, 20 and 21, 2010.

Professor Chris Mitchell has given a talk on "Trusted Computing, Mobile Telecommunications Security, Manual Authentication Protocols, Identity Management, Web Security and ID Based Crypto" on April 27-30, 2010.

Prof. Vincent Rijmen has given a 3 day lesson on December 8-10, 2009 on "Design Principles of Block Ciphers, Cryptanalysis of Hash Functions and Lightweight Cryptography".

Orr Dunkelman has given a lecture on "Cryptanalysis of Block and Stream Ciphers, Hash Functions and Lightweight Cryptography" on June 15-19, 2009.

Professor Gildas Avoine has given a 4 day lecture on "RFID Security" on March 9-12, 2009.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Bart Preenel has given a course: "Topics in Cryptology" on October 27, 28, 30 and 31, 2008. The lessons has been held in TÜSSİDE.
